Feed quality and producer’s certifications are very important in aquaculture. We conduct robust analyses of all approved raw materials – at delivery, throughout the formulation process, and up to the point of feed delivery.
Our company complies with the latest Belgian and European legislations and is strictly controlled by the Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FAVV-AFSCA).
HACCP, TRACEABILITY AND SUSTAINABILITY
All raw materials and finished products are subject to strict quality controls. Raw materials are selected from approved suppliers and with attention. We apply the HACCP principles and have a full traceability system to trace every raw material and finished product up to the end user.
STERILIZATION BY GAMMA-IRRADIATION
To ensure complete microbiological feed safety and vibrio-free products, gamma-irradiation is applied to some of our feeds. Sterilization by irradiation is safe, reliable, highly effective and guarantees a complete biosecurity.

Bern Aqua NV is certified under (EC) 834/2007 and (EC) R889/2008 regulations of EU Organic Farming. We are producing fish and shrimp feed suitable for use in organic aquaculture.
